This description dates from March 2016, some aspects of it may be out of date particularly with regards Halfpenny Brewery and the number of beers.

Centre of the expanding Halfpenny Brewery empire, this twin-roomed, wooden-floored brewpub flourishes, with up to six Halfpenny ales available. Renowned for its parties, friendly clientele and unusual choice of games (including Aunt Sally), this enthusiastic establishment makes for a memorable drinking experience. Two fireplaces flank the front room, and an eclectic array of paraphernalia adorns the walls. They host a wonderful beer festival August Bank Holiday weekend. Smokers can watch the brewing from a covered patio at the rear. There are six letting bedrooms.
