A former coaching inn whose interior has been much modernised, overlooking the picturesque Buttlands Green. Inside are a bar and two restaurants, one of which looks out on the rear garden. Despite the light, airy, modern feel, a sense of history remains about the place, and old photographs of the hotel are all around the bar. There are usually at least two rotating guest ales.
