Completely redecorated cosy country local with two log burning stoves saved from threat of redevelopment by local resident who purchased the freehold enabling it to be run as an entirely free house. After a succession of short-lived managers he is now running it as a hands-on operation. He is committed to real ale and rotates largely national brands. Evening opening hours may be extended if busy.
