The County is now run by Beerhouses, who also have the Sportsman. Freshly refurbished in a contemporary style with an Art Deco twist, but retaining the original bar & coving partitions. Magnet windows and a John Smiths exterior lamp are retained as a cheeky nod to previous ownership. Six handpumps dispense beers sourced from Yorkshire, mainly from micros, and there are five craft keg lines. There is a rear function room. Very handy for a drink after an event in Huddersfield Town Hall. Huddersfield CAMRA Winter Pub of the Season 2022/23.
