A large pub that is family friendly and community focused. On entering the bar is to your left, there is a large seating area to your right and restaurant area towards the rear. Also towards the rear is the entry to the large beer beer garden (some marquees with TV's showing major sporting events) and an enclosed children's play area. In addition to the cask conditioned "Fuller's London Pride" there is a second handpump that is used at weekends for a guest ale There is a minimum of 4 ciders available, at least one (Sandford Orchards Devon Scrumpy) that meets CAMRA's definition of real cider. Happy hour Mon-Fri between 4 and 6 pm when various discounts depending on the ABV of the beer apply. Several darts and pool teams use the pub as a base. The landlord will occasionally have a BBQ on Bank Holiday weekends. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed and occasionally there is live music (check the website for details).
