Reopened under new ownership.

Sixteenth-century pub in a remote but charming village, popular with walkers and cyclists. Reopened under new ownership in 2022 after restoration of historic features, the inn now offers lounge bar, restaurant and a patio for alfresco dining. There is a bar billiards table in the lounge bar, and seats outside in the village square. Limited public parking is available in the square and in the lane leading towards the church. The real ale will be from Sussex breweries.
