Basically furnished free house passionately serving up real ale with three beers sometimes four on handpump. A new venture set up towards the end of 2018 saw a microbrewery installed which is visible behind the lounge and which brews both cask and keg beers for the pub. Typically these might include Bridgend IPA or NEIPA but other one-off brews are sometimes available. A popular weekend venue, customers enjoy open mic nights, special themed evenings, brewery trips, a beer festival every Easter, a stout and porter festival in November, Meet the Brewer and tap take-over events.
