This welcoming back-street community Gray’s pub has a village local feel, with its ancient beams. It is the Maldon & Dengie branch cider pub of the year for 2019. There is a small rear patio as well as outside seating at the front of the pub. A beer and cider festival is held annually. The pub supports thriving cribbage, darts and dominoes teams. Very limited off-street parking. No food.
Historic Interest
Parts of the pub allegedly date back to 1349. It was the brewery tap for Gray & Sons' Maldon brewery until this closed in 1954.
