Update 05/12/2021: Tasting Sessions and Tours are currently unavailable due to Covid-19 but otherwise the shop is open.

Cairngorm is the home of many award winning ales and a trip to the Highlands for a Real Ale enthusiast will not be complete without a visit.

In 2016 Cairngorm bought the Loch Ness brand, and now brews the popular beers in Aviemore.

Although this is a working brewery, tours are available and start at 11:30 and 14:30 Mon-Fri (also evenings and Sat by prior arrangement) and advanced booking is essential because tour group numbers are limited for safety reasons.

The tour and tasting (lasting about 90 minutes) is priced at £5.00 (Summer 2018) and you get to try the product!

Please note the samples are "free" and a part of the tour.

If you do not have time for a tour, you can do a tasting session for only £2.50 per person (2018 price).

In 2017, the brewery was licensed for both on and off sales so that after the tasting you could buy another pint for consumption on the premises.

The well stocked shop will allow you to buy all of those "essentials" to enjoy later.
