Typical comfortably furnished Ember Inn with a relaxed atmosphere. Refurbished in September 2014. Whilst open plan, it has numerous separate areas for diners and drinkers. The pub has its own family designated area. Brunch served Sat and Sun 10-12

Historic Interest

The Cadland is named after the Duke of Rutland's thoroughbred racehorse Cadland (1825–1837). In a racing career which lasted only for the years 1828 to 1831 he ran twenty-five times and won fifteen races. Famous for running a dead heat in the 1828 Derby with The Colonel, before winning the race in a deciding run-off. He later went on to develop a notable rivalry with his contemporary Zinganee.

Formerly a Bass tied house, the Cadland freehold (NT379625) was registered to Mitchell's & Butler's Retail Limited (Reg. No. 24542) as at November 2017.
