Stone-built pub situated close to the church and within walking distance of the village railway station. It was once two cottages, but then converted into a combined pub and butchers shop, hence the name. The butcher has now moved next door, leaving an attractive low beamed pub with inglenook fireplaces in both the bar and lounge.
