Opened in 1999 as a bar called Via Fossa, which got shortened to Via. One of a row of establishments sharing a long dockside terrace. Operated for 10 years by Tattersall Castle Group until they went into administration in Sept 2015.

Reopened in June 2016 as a Burger & Lobster, owned by Goodman Restaurants. Although the ground floor is a chain restaurant, the first floor is now a bar with only a limited food menu. No real ale but ten decent keg beers including London breweries and a range of bottles.

Historic Interest

Part of the massive No. 1 Warehouse, a Grade 1 Listed building, originally handling sugar and other goods from the West Indies.
