Parts of the building date from 1287, and a court room and later a coaching inn occupied the site. Situated in the centre of this small town just below the Long Mynd and close to the A49. There is a large bar area and a separate small snug room and dining room.The nearby South Shropshire hills offer excellent walking.

May close early if quiet.
