Located at the end of Ashton-on-Mersey village it is part of the Stonegate Pubs group and was refurbished in March 2015 in their 'classic inns' style. Inside it is light and airy with traditional style tables and chairs, outside there is a large dining area and covered smoking area.
Originally called 'The Buck & the Bitch', the building is hundreds of years old. It was once a council building and an old courtroom - there are cells downstairs. Allegedly there was a tunnel to the local church, but it is now sealed for safety. The car park still has rings for tethering horses.
The pub has a 'Real Ale' loyalty card - buy 7 pints and get next free.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
