The Bowling Green is a large traditional pub in the Chorltonville area of Manchester, just a few yards from Chorlton Green & Beech Road. Chorlton Green was until 1940 the site of Chorlton Chapel - once the main place of worship for Chorlton. These days to get from Chorlton Green to The Bowling Green you can cross the graveyard of the old Chapel by entering through the archway in the wall on Crossland Road at the south of the Green.
The pub prides itself on it's community links and is popular for sports, particularly football, rugby & GAA Gaelic football.
