Bar and off-sales shop-cum-cafe on the second floor retail village of this warren of a place. Houldsworth Mill, a most prominent landmark has been converted for both residential and commercial use. It can be difficult to find the bar, but just follow the signs through the many corridors. Once located, you will see a small bar and the adjacent off-sales area, outside that is a seating area with views of the other traders' units. It’s all been skilfully done, using reclaimed materials and fittings (a fireplace comes from the now-closed Jolly Angler in central Manchester). Although quite small there’s plenty of seating out at the front of the unit, so a decent number of people can be accommodated.
Historic Interest
Opened 19/11/2021 in former industrial mill premises. The bar is a project by Sam Doolan, Chris Ballinger and Chris Woodsworth, the resultant bar was born out of a conversation among the three of them.
