Busy and popular Wetherspoon named after the town's Tudor benefactor, recognised with a carved wooden pulpit by the entrance. A continuous Guide entry for over two decades, it offers a good mix of guest beers, many from local microbreweries. The usual food offerings are available. As well as extensive seating areas upstairs and down, there is a spacious rooftop garden, and a smaller beer garden downstairs to the rear.
