Popular and comfortable side-street pub in the Market Town Taverns group that opened in 1999, having been converted from a former china shop. It has a music free bar area, a basement seating area and outdoor seating. The pub is renowned for the quality of its beer and food. There are four regular and four guest real ales which feature a good variety of beer styles with many from Yorkshire breweries. There are also 12 keg taps. A wide range of good foreign beer is offered. Home-cooked food is on the menu every day. A pub quiz takes place on Monday nights.
