Dying example of a traditional family friendly backstreet local, located 10 minutes from Dorchester South station (use down side exit). A Marstons pub, but with a Market Rent Only agreement, so serves three SIBA beers within a 50 mile range, changing on a monthly basis. Laid out on two levels the pub has soft furnishings with sporting events shown in the top part of the pub on a large screen. The lower drinking area is set out in a sitting room style with more soft furnishing. Look out for the old baking ovens and the numerous Eldridge Pope memorabilia that decorates the walls. A small out-door drinking/smoking area has recently been added.
