Situated below the Strutt Club in the centre of Belper and named after Sir Richard Arkwright, an important 18th century mill owner. Arkwright's is a modern friendly one roomed real ale bar with constantly changing cask ales, usually including a 'brown' beer such as Bass or 6X. A popular pub with local drinkers and has home-made bar snacks always available. A 'no under 14s' rule ensures a quiet and relaxing environment for adults, often with live acoustic music at weekends.
