A great community pub in a local centre just to the north-east of the city centre. It is owned by Rhymney Brewery and serves a good range of their beers with occasional guests from elsewhere. Also, a good range of ciders, usually from respected local producer Llanblethian Orchards. Real ale takeaways and filled rolls are available. BT Sport is played (silently), there are open mic nights on Mondays, occasional live bands and a juke box.
