The Alexandra Beer Emporium describing itself as 'the only traditional pub in Southampton' may be a little bold, but it is probably not too far from the truth in the city centre. It is conveniently located just off the busy London Road. Internally it is bare boarded. A raised stage area to the left as you enter hosts frequent live music, and near the is the pool table & food servery. It has a lively atmosphere and the walls are covered with an impressive collection of cult film memorabilia. An enclosed, largely paved garden can be found at the rear of the pub. Food is home-made and cooked to order (please note food hours above). Sport is shown from seven TVs, including one in the garden. There is also a large selection of board games and retro 1980s gaming machines to play.
