New bar / restaurant (that opened Aug 2012) from the Living Ventures team (sister to the slightly older Spinningfields outlet). Set at the foot of a modern office building, it is well positioned on the fringes of the financial district, Chinatown, and the Piccadilly shopping area. A large number of covered and heated outside tables have been provided for dining alfresco, between these and the interior is a full-height curtain wall of glass. This neatly screens the occupants inside who drink or dine in some comfort, either at the many dining tables, or in more relaxed fashion at one of the sofas or Chesterfields dotted around. An alchemist it may be, but it is yet to conjure up gold in the form of any real ale…
