The Wellington reopened after extensive refurbishment in 2014. Landlords Chris and Chris run a 70/30 wet-led pub serving award-winning food. There is a cosy lounge bar with a separate games room featuring pool and darts, and a 36-seat restaurant to the rear. One real cider is always on handpump. There is plenty of interesting memorabilia relating to the pub's namesake bomber. The pub is heavily involved with the local community and participates in the Meet Up Mondays initiative. On alternate weeks movies are screened for free to provide a way for people to meet others and find companionship.
