Luxury hotel in rolling gardens overlooking Grasmere and the surrounding fells. Non-residents are welcome for drinks in the Poet's Bar and lunch can be taken in the bar or on the terrace. One handpump usually serves Grasmere beer plus cider in cans. Occasional live music events including afternoon performances outside.

There are seasonal opening times, so call ahead to avoid disappointment.
