An 18th Century hotel in the centre of the town, dating from the 1730s and built on the site of an earlier inn. The Exmoor bar stocks St Austell Tribute, and Sharps Doombar. Good food is served in the separate restaurant between 6.30 to 9.00 every day and also from 12 until 2 Thurs - Sat. In addition, bar snacks are available from 5-6.30 and breakfasts from 7.30 until 9 am on weekdays, 8 to 9 Saturdays and 9 until 10 am on Sundays. The large function room upstairs hosts regular live music and comedy nights. There is also a small meeting room downstairs which is often used for IT training etc. Accommodation consists of 10 well appointed en-suite rooms. Dogs are welcome in the bar.
