A fine Georgian exterior greets you to the grade II listed pub that dates from the 18th-century, when it was a coaching house.

Inside the décor is contemporary, masking the original wood beams. The pub stretches back a long way, with the front part more lounge & bar like, with comfy seating, and the rear more orientated to dining, split into various areas. The long bar occupies much of the right hand side and at the end of the bar area is a display cabinet containing various old bottles of Wadworth beers.

Food is varied modern pub fayre, with most items available in either small or large portion sizes, plus pizzas and ciabattas. At the rear is a small garden with a few large round benches.

The pub's car park is separately managed and is sign posted and used as a public car park. The entrance is in Church Lane, the alley next to the pub being the exit. Charges apply after 3 hours.
