A historic town centre hotel which includes a recently refurbished bar and restaurant. The current bar now offers much improved seating and a new menu that includes various fresh, local and seasonal ingredients plus ever popular Sunday roasts.

Historic Interest

The 1904 Woodbridge licensing records show that the Bull's license was issued in 1803. It is mentioned in the records of 1734 as an ancient Inn, formerly known as The Pyed Bull & The Black Bull. A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 01 Feb in 1800 states that : A meeting of the creditors of James NICHOLS, late of the Bull Inn, Woodbridge, on 7th Feb, 1800 at 2 o'clock. In 1874 listed as a commercial hotel & posting house & inland revenue office. An omnibus also meets all trains. A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 31 Mar in 1887 states that : A valuable Fully-licensed Property, known as the Bull Commercial & Family Hotel & Assembly Room, Woodbridge, for sale by auction on 28 Apr 1887, by direction of the Executors of the late Mr John GROUT.
