Situated in the middle of the village this 150 year old public house has 5 hand pumps and a large spacious bar area split over two levels. Its previous usage as a blacksmiths is demonstrated by the old tools on display in the area which housed the smithy and features a Victorian tiled floor. The function room has a beautiful carved panelled fire surround.

Their reputation for quality locally sourced food means that booking at busy times is recommended.

Historic Interest

First licensed in 1866. The pubs name come from the marriage of two infuential local families.
