Night Club.

Although still fully licensed the Golden Lion effectively is no longer a pub. When the tenants left the pub in October 2016 the decision was taken to transform it into a night club and it is believed that the premises is run by the nearby Fern Ticket (ex Swan Inn). It now only opens late on weekends. The distinctive golden lion figure still guards above the front entrance and a 'West Country Ales - Best in the West' ceramic plaque remains in situ.
