This lovely 13th century thatched West Country Freehouse with old beams and flagstones is a hidden rural gem located in a picturesque, secluded Devon valley near Exeter. With well kept cask ales, (often Otter, Legend or Stag) up to 5 real ciders/perries (BiB and keg), and an Amazon blue pub parrot called "Captain" who has greeted guests for over 40 years.
It has 4 star AA rated bed and breakfast accommodation and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week serving freshly cooked food with an emphasis on local suppliers. There are also about 20 House Wines available by the glass.
