Historic Interest

Foremans is in Nottingham City Council's Old Market Square Conservation Area and has an entry on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Local Heritage List (09 December 2013).

Formerly North Street, Forman Street was probably named after the Forman family, proprietors of the Nottingham Evening Post based opposite Foremans until the 1990s. This may have inspired the pub name.

Historic Reavill's Yard lies between Ride and Foremans, whilst on the other side between Foremans and No.17 lies Sun Inn Yard, indicating the location of a long gone Sun Inn.
