Smart 'L' shaped locals pub with a small outside drinking area at the rear.

Historic Interest

Formerly a Shipstones house.

In 1881, the Royal Oak was a fully licensed establishment under publican William Garton.

The cave cellars measure 16m x 14m and were used as an air raid shelter. [Referenced MNU 292 and BGS Nf1].
