One large room divided into drinking areas. Comfortable seating area with real fire at one end. Close to the Market Place and enjoying a large well kept garden area, ideal for summer drinking, children and dining. Annual August bank holiday Beer Festival. Adnams Broadside and Woodforde's Wherry are complemented by a more local offering. Friendly bar staff and landlord and landlady gives this pub a welcoming atmosphere.

Historic Interest

Records show an inn has existed on this site since the sixteenth century. The current building dates from the early twentieth century. Elaborately carved Royal Arms from the nineteenth century inn have been restored and can be seen today high up on the front of the building.
