Busy local pub within this conservation village and 100 meters away from the famous Weaver's Cottage owned by the National Trust. Two ales are on offer on hand pumps, usually one local and one national. Live music most Saturday nights with a range of music styles and an emphasis on supporting local musicians. Popular beer garden in summer. There is a wide range of food on offer, from family favourites to steak and curry nights, and weekend ‘specials’. Live sports are shown on large screens in a separate area, the Six Nations rugby matches are very popular. This pub is working hard to develop the catering to suit a wide customer base with afternoon teas also on offer. There is now very much a family friendly approach and atmosphere, with child-specific drinks and menus.
