Large modern estate pub overlooking a large green area, named the Alpine in recognition of the building's resemblance to an alpine chalet. Closed in February 2019, completely refurbished and renamed as the Mill Dam in recognition of the nearby Greasbrough Dams. Reopened in late April 2019 and tastefully decorated, it is still very much a local's pub. Two real ales are usually available, often sourced from the local Chantry Brewery and also a real cider. Prices are very reasonable.
