Attractive two roomed pub on the northern outskirts of Carlisle on the A7 near M6 J44. The friendly bar is cosy and decorated with football scarves. The lounge is a very pleasant, attractive L shaped room often candlelit in the evening. Bar meals are very good and excellent value. The pub has its own car park to the rear and makes an excellent alternative to motorway food for anyone passing on the M6. Sunday roast and veg option only on Sunday's.
