The Mercer occupies a Grade II-listed building; refurbishment has made it the smartest pub in Devizes, with carpets throughout, luxurious seating, spotless toilets and a good atmosphere. At least five ales are available at all times from all areas of the UK. CAMRA Devizes branch is well supported by the pub, with tasting evenings and good liaison with the management. Regular beer festivals are held, with up to 50 ales available over the festival period. Food is served all day.
