Set back from the A 49 on the North bank of the River Weaver this pub has live music performances on Thursday nights in the comfortable lounge furnished with leather armchairs and sofas. A large blackboard of daily specials supplements the menu. It is a popular starting (and finishing) point for walkers exploring local countryside and also has a children's play area and beer garden. Annual steam traction weekend early October.
