Used to be known as "Froose" a bar which offered low priced beers, at that time having one handpump available which often offered unusual choices.

It did offer Mediterranean food in its Oregano Restaurant then changing into Malones - hearty British food with favourites like fish & chips, meat pie and ham & egg. An extensive refurbishment sees it reopen with tapas/Spanish food in décor recalling the building's rôle as Ackworth's cinema.

Historic Interest

According to Wikipedia, the working men's club and institute at Moor Top was built in 1907 and was said to have cost £1,750. The 220 seat cinema was later built above.
