Occasional food nights as of 18/11/23. Ex-Lacons Inn which is on the outskirts of town opposite Beccles Cemetery (a 15 minute walk from town centre) serving six ales from local breweries such as Barsham, Beccles Brew Co, Mr Winters and Wolf. The pub is keen to try out new local breweries. Customers can use the Real Ale Finder app to find out beers currently available at the pub. Occasional quiz nights and charity events. The pub was originally comprised of lounge and public bars both with a bay window, one of which was removed and re-sited when the building was extended. The pub is now open plan with the bar and real fire in the original part of the building and pool tables in the extended area. The rear garden has been refreshed with additional seating.

Named Victoria Gardens before the owners gained a slaughterhouse licence and changed the name of the pub
