Very close to the City rail station, this pub has three comfortable rooms but no bar counter, so that service is to your table. The five real ales and five ciders are complemented by gins, wines and bottled beers. Simple snacks are offered, or you can bring your own food. There is a large beer terrace to the rear, with occasional live music. Children are welcome until 5pm. Monday is quiz night, which finishes with a fish and chip supper.
