The pub occupies a timber framed building which dates from the late 16th or early 17th century and is grade II listed. Inside it has been much opened out but retains more than a modicum of character and is comfortable and welcoming. A separate dining room is available for small functions or family events. Food is served Sunday lunchtimes, and possibly evenings but by arrangement only. Bingo Wednesdays, autumn to spring.
