Completely refurbished in 2016 with further refurb of kitchen and restaurant completed in 2023. Well-presented decor with half-panelled walls, pub is divided into a range of large and smaller areas, including one for "fine dining". The pub is a good size, but still has a more intimate "country" feel.

Two hand pumps (but with scope for a third) has one regular beer and one changing ale, with locals able to choose next one from range of options.

Food-led pub, but drinkers are welcome with large marquee in garden (with bar) and additional uncovered tables offering alfresco drinking & dining area. Most nights feature a food "special".

As well as large marquee at rear, there is also a good-sized, part-covered well-presented boarded patio area with tables and bench seating, which can be booked as function area.

Situated on the edge of Newport Pagnell, a 10 minute walk from the centre (or 3 minute bus ride for the less active).
