Country pub selling up to seven real ales. Serves Timothy Taylors Landlord and is a member of the Timothy Taylors Champion Club, guest beers often include those from Dunham Massey Brewing Company based just the other side of Dunham Park.

Close to The Bridgewater Canal and ten minutes walk from the National Trust's Dunham Park. A footpath from the park's Bollin Gate leads to a footbridge across the river. Park Lane starts a few yards over the bridge.

Very much food orientated with a spacious restaurant at the rear. Menu options include vegetarian and gluten free options, with food served all day until 9pm (8pm Sundays). Drinkers are welcome too with a cosy front room decorated with horse brasses & old pictures. Pub tends to be quiet after finish of food service. May close early Sunday nights in winter.

Well behaved children are welcome and dogs are welcome in the front room. There are no televisions or games machines but low level background music is played.
