A modern pub with a partially-heated beer garden at the front on Sussex Gardens, it was built in 1969 on the ground floor of a residential high-rise development. Some attractive coloured glasswork separates various seating and dining areas around an L-shaped bar. Trade is mainly local plus some tourists from the numerous local hotels. The food menu includes pizzas and burgers and pub favourites.

As may be seen from our photos, there is indeed a monkey puzzle tree in the garden!
