This award winning rural free house is full of character and serves eight to ten competitively-priced beers direct from the cask together with Kentish Chiddingstone cider. The expansive gardens, including one dedicated for families and children, come into their own on Whitsun and August bank holidays when festivals are held featuring up to 75 ales. Meal choices (not Sun evening) are chalked up in the bar. A half hour bus journey from Tunbridge Wells will drop you right outside the door.

Sunday evenings a Thai "Street Food" vendor is at the pub from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and food can be taken into the pub.
