A well run and welcoming popular pub with a strong community focus. The outside area is utilised with dining pods, a decking area and a large hidden lawned beer garden. The inside of the pub primarily consists of a bar area and a pool/TV room that contains a pool table that can also be used for dining when necessary. Always two cask ales, with a third on Fridays.

In recent times the pub has been an excellent resource for the local residents, and was the recipient of the CAMRA branch Community Help award during the pandemic for the branch. The pub is now all-day opened throughout the year, and dining has been extended. There are regular quiz nights and it hosts and supports local traditions such as the annual pumpkin competition and the inter-village cricket match.
