Large single bar & restaurant area, pool table room, snug bar with log fire, patio beer garden & a car-park to rear. This pub re opened in Spring 2022 under new management team with the landlord Chris Mapey who also runs The Angel in Woodbridge and The Duke in Ipswich.

Regular Quizzes, social events and themed evenings held each month. Pool, Darts and TV viewing are also available. A selection of beers available with seasonal special guest beers, plus a selection of Wines & Spirits plus tea and Coffee.

Historic Interest

Built 1530-1560 may also be listed at Elmswell Rd? A report in the Ipswich Journal** in Jun 1810 states that : An announcement of the marriage on the 26th of Mr Pearle Halls, Hadleigh, to Miss Bull, of Wetherden May Pole. In June 1982 edition of Last Orders*** it was reported that the Maypole (then owned by Whitbread) had just opened at Easter after a £50k rebuild.
