Small and cosy, just off the main High Street, the pub is serious about craft beer – even to the point of not stocking many mainstream products. It serves five real ales from small and local breweries, three craft beers and four traditional ciders. There is also an interesting selection of bottled beers. The décor is original and eclectic. And it really does grow hops in the garden, where there is heated seating for 82 people (refurbished April 2022).
